The Infinity Gauntlet, granting its wearer dominion over reality, is more powerful than any weapon mentioned on this list but is out of the running because I (perhaps arbitrarily) do no consider superhero to be a subgenre of sci-fi. That aside, here is the run down.

- BFG 9000 – Doom: The BFG 9000 (Big Freaking Gun) is a powerful energy weapon that fires a green plasma ball capable of killing multiple enemies in a single shot. It is one of the most iconic weapons in the Doom series.
- The Noisy Cricket – Men in Black: The Noisy Cricket is a small weapon used by the Men in Black agents that can pack a powerful punch despite its size, capable of destroying entire buildings.
- The Zorg ZF-1 – The Fifth Element: The Zorg ZF-1 is a multi-purpose weapon used by the villain Zorg. It has various functions, including a flamethrower, ice-cold gas, and a net launcher.
- The M41A Pulse Rifle – Aliens: The M41A Pulse Rifle is a futuristic weapon used by the marines in the movie Aliens. It fires explosive rounds and is equipped with a grenade launcher.
